The Three Best Workout Channels For Men On YouTube
Look, gentlemen.
Don’t read this if you want to “spot reduce” (because you can’t), fast-track your way to getting jacked or glean some ancient anatomical secret.
Don’t read this if you’re bionic (the government will find you, don’t think they won’t).
And definitely don’t read this if getting corrected triggers some kind of childhood shit.
This piece is for two types of men: He who wants to perfect his workout program and he who’s ready to forge one (fist bump). After all, why wouldn’t an able-bodied man pump iron, especially when a recent Harvard report showed it’s just as effective at preventing heart attacks as running around?
We scoured a bevy of YouTube channels, sat through hours of videos and, as a result, curated a bulletproof list of three personalities based on criteria like follower count number, credential analysis and good old fact-checking. What, you thought that was just for journalists? You grasshoppers.
“Well, why not the 10 best workout channels for men?”
Isn’t that right, guys in the back?
Because let’s be serious, some of you won’t read 10 (and that’s fine, time is money). Besides, these three men are the top tier when it comes to torching calories. You’ll see.
Let’s get some gains.
Jeremy Ethier
Subscriber Count: 3.57 million
Diet Recommendations: Yes
Of all resistance experts worth watching, two meld current, scientifically-backed data with proper form tutorials that are stupid easy to learn, and both do it well. Mr. Jeremy Ethier is one of them (the other guy’s blurb follows this one).
You know those douches who puff their chests and flex their pecs when girls walk by? Ethier is the exact antithesis of that. This is the guy who looks a total nerd but when things get hairy, he’ll wipe out the room before you blink. Give him the choice, though, and he’d much rather hit you with graphs, charts and actual peer-reviewed studies before imparting the form you wish you’d known. But yes, Ethier will help you sharpen your form for prime results.
Another thing: Ethier is a home workout specialist. He’ll get you to use everything from towels for pistol squats to your own shoes for a lat tear like you’ve never felt before.
And he’s always got a few alternate — and sometimes much tougher — movements in his repertoire for lifters who know the basics and seek a real test.

Intuitively, you’d hire a trainer to learn how to lift.
But we’re talking something that could put you in a stretcher lest you not know your shit, hence the underrated value in also knowing what not to do when you train.
Mr. Jeff Cavaliere’s approach to resistance echoes the aforesaid — he’ll teach you impeccable form and how to keep brutal injuries at bay, making him — pound for pound — the most well-rounded of all trainers on the Internet. A University of Connecticut grad with a Masters in Physical Therapy and biomechanics master, Cavaliere cut his teeth helping keep the ‘06, ‘07 and ‘08 New York Mets in peak shape as Assistant Strength Coach.
This man will cover everything there is to cover, including his own body with his trusty black marker just so he can show you what to target. His videos are, for all intents and purposes, virtual physical therapy sessions… for free. You can’t beat that.
Ever tried being a hero and doing chest butterflies lying down? Because Cavaliere can prove you shouldn’t, not in the least because you could mess up your coracobrachialis, a tiny muscle nestled in that sweet spot where chest, shoulder and arm meet (which actually takes more of a beating than you’d know).
This man is a muscle whisperer and you’ll bode well to watch his stuff.
Scott Herman Fitness
Subscriber Count: 2.48 million
Diet Recommendations: Yes
Not since the release of Martin Scorsese’s The Departed in 2007 has hearing a Bostonian accent been this fun. Imagine getting this guy stoned and getting him to say things like “smart” and “car.”
Few trainers online have the work ethic or the sheer volume of content to match Mr. Scott Herman’s output. He’s been creating content for over 10 years now, boasts a catalogue of hundreds of videos (all of which has garnered him a cool 505,100,418 views and counting), and a quick perusal of said chronology will show you the guy’s always evolving, whether it be in the quality of his production or his actual frame.
But what makes Herman’s brand so distinct is his will to call out one’s crap.
If you’re out there making workout videos for men and it’s clear glory and clout chasing top teaching what’s right, this man will find you and he’ll take you apart.
He’ll like it, too, so don’t tell guys to do 100 air squats a day for 30 days to get the glutes of a god when all it’ll do is give them Hulk’s quads.
